David Keane, Cheshire PCC, Looks For New Chief Constable

January 21, 2019

I was just reading on Cheshire Live (https://www.cheshire-live.co.uk/news/chester-cheshire-news/candidates-new-cheshire-chief-constable-15697057) about the recruitment of a new chief constable to replace the undesirable Simon Byrne who submitted to the court a false statement of defence against my claim for malicious prosecution – a crook in other words.

I am not quite sure what to make of Police Crime Commissioner David Keane’s aim to recruit a leader who ‘shares his vision and values’. Does that mean that he wants someone so lacking in integrity that they cover up police criminality. That certainly would seem to be in accord with Keane’s vision and values. If that is the case, the current acting chief constable, Janette McCormick, would likely stand a good chance if she applies.
